Eligibility for 3 Year Old Program
In order to be eligible for 3 year old kindergarten, children must turn 3 years of age on or before April 30 of the year of the commencement at the kindergarten.  Full fees are charged for the period of non attendance (i.e. from commencement of term 1 to the child's start date - their 3rd birthday) if the child does not turn 3 until after the teaching year commences.

Eligibility for 4 Year Old Program
In order to be eligible for 4 year old kindergarten, children must turn 4 years of age on or before April 30 of the year of commencement at the kindergarten, and must not have accessed a funded preschool place in the previous year.

Procedure for Enrolment
A child may be placed on the relevant waiting list from the first day of the first term two years before the child is eligible to attend Kindergarten.

If you would like to place your child on our waiting list, please complete the relevant details on the Enrolment Application Form, and return it to Renown with the $25 administration fee (this is non-refundable).

Offers for places in both the 3 year old and 4 year old groups at Renown Kindergarten will be issued by the Director of the kindergarten in July of the year prior to commencement.

Priority of Enrolment at Renown Kindergarten – Australian Program

To allocate enrolment places fairly, the enrolments office will endeavour to follow the guidelines listed below:

1. Children currently enrolled at Renown (repeating students, or those moving from the 3 year old to the 4 year old program)
2. Siblings of children who have attended Renown, provided that their enrolment application form and fee are received no later than the last day of term 1 in the year prior to commencement.
3. Children who reside in the City Of Stonnington.
4. Children who reside elsewhere.

The determining factor, when there are too many applicants of comparable priority, will be the date of reception of ‘Application for Enrolment’ form and non-refundable application fee.  In all circumstances, this form must be submitted within an appropriate period of time in order to be placed on the relevant wait list.
