Learning Documentation via StoryPark
Storypark is a secure, private online platform that helps families and teachers stay connected and engaged in a child’s learning journey. At Renown, we use Storypark to share photos, videos, and observations that capture meaningful moments in your child’s development. Families can also contribute their own stories, leave comments, and invite extended family to be part of this interactive learning community. Accessible on phones, tablets, and computers, Storypark offers a window into your child’s world at kinder making communication easy, inclusive, and enriching.

While Storypark is accessible, rest assured that Renown have the knowledge and skills to ensure we are cybersafe. Storypark is not an open blog for anyone to read, it is a password-protected, private space for families, Renown staff and any individuals that families choose to invite. Packing a Luncbox

At Renown, children bring their own food from home for morning tea, lunch, and sometimes afternoon tea depending on their program. We encourage families to pack a variety of nutritious foods that children enjoy and that will keep them fuelled and focused throughout the day. As we do not heat or refrigerate food, insulated lunchboxes and thermoses are highly recommended. You’ll be notified of any allergies in your child’s class most often, we require nut-free lunchboxes to ensure everyone’s safety. We also encourage families to introduce new foods and limit packaging to support sustainability. If you’re unsure about what to pack or how to prepare a balanced lunchbox, your child’s teacher's are always happy to help.
SunSmart Practices
Renown is proud to follow the SunSmart guidelines to help protect children from harmful UV exposure. Upon enrolment, each child is provided with a broad-brimmed hat to wear during outdoor play. We supply CancerCouncil SPF50+ Ultra sunscreen and reapply it every two hours throughout the day, unless you prefer to provide your own. To support our SunSmart practices, we encourage families to dress children in sun-protective clothing and ensure they bring their hat daily. Together, we help children learn safe sun habits while enjoying outdoor learning and play
Road Saftey
Renown is located in a busy area, so safe arrival and departure are essential for all families. We ask that you remain vigilant during drop-off and pick-up times, always using designated crossings and parking areas. Children must be securely restrained in appropriate car seats that meet Australian Standards, and booster seats should only be phased out once your child passes the five-step safety test. Helmets are also vital when children use bikes or scooters. Please ensure they are properly fitted and before departing via bike/scooter. By following these safety practices, we can help ensure every child arrives and leaves kinder safely
Toilet Training Tips
We understand that every child and family experiences toilet training differently, and we’re here to support you through this important milestone. Our team works closely with families to encourage positive routines and help children feel confident and comfortable. Whether your child is just beginning or well on their way, we offer guidance tailored to their needs. We recommend starting at home with regular routines and using the toilet rather than a potty. At kinder, we support children with privacy, motivation, and patience. Accidents are a normal part of learning, and we approach them with care and positivity.
