Renown is committed to the safety and well-being of all children. We are dedicated to adhering to and upholding the Child Safe Standards and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Renown Kindergarten Child Safety Values:

Renown staff members undergo regular professional learning and development to ensure we maintain the highest standards of child safety and protection. These same priorities are extended to our casual and extracurricular teachers
Safe Use of Digital Devices
Photography, Recording & Device Use Onsite

Families and visitors are not permitted to take photos or recordings on site.

Families are asked to refrain from using personal devices while at the kindergarten.

Signage reinforcing these rules has been placed around the kindergarten.

Amendments to excursion procedures are communicated to families.
Staff Device Use and Boundaries
Strict expectations regarding staff device usage are reinforced at Renown

Renown Kindergarten adheres to the National Model Code

Staff must keep personal mobile phones locked away during sessions.

Exceptions for carrying personal devices are granted in exceptional circumstances, and approved by the Nominated Supervisor

Renown provides three Renown owned mobile phones for internal communication, and emergency scenarios that families can also contact.

Staff also use six program iPads for documenting children.

These iPads and iPhones are the only devices permitted for recording or documentation.

They are routinely cleared of data to protect privacy.
